2026 Budget of New Cabalan, Barretto Garners Sanggunian Approval
Barangays New Cabalan and Barretto both garnered the unanimous approval of the Sangguniang Panlungsod for their 2026 budget during the 18th Regular Session held on May 4, 2026. Following a thorough deliberation, both budgets were declared operative in its entirety.
Budget highlights:
Resolution No. 109, Series of 2026, Barangay New Cabalan Budget amounting to PhP 47,353,066.00. Resource persons, headed by Punong Barangay Delbert Muega, include Sanggunian Kabataan chairperson and council, barangay officials, treasurer and secretary. The resource persons shared the ongoing projects of the barangay such as the installation of streetlights at the Anne Raquel’s Resort area, tourism projects for Mt. Malabney, and installation of 32 CCTV cameras in the said barangay.
The barangay also shared the budget allocation for the following: creation of eight (8) new positions (two drivers and six rescue personnel), burial assistance worth PhP 2,000.00 for deceased senior citizens, rehabilitation of the pathway to Bangal Elementary School Gate 2, among others.
Resolution No. 110, Series of 2026, Barangay Barretto Budget amounting to PhP 40,164,243.16. Punong Barangay Dante Escobar, together with the Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson and council, members of the barangay council, and barangay secretary and treasurer participated in the deliberation of the measure. They discussed certain provisions of their budget, including the confirmation of the honorarium increase amounting to PhP 1,200.00 upon the approval of the budget by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, in accordance with the memorandum from the Commission on Audit.
