East Bajac-Bajac, New Asinan, Pag-asa 2026 Budget Receives Sanggunian Nod
Three more barangays had their 2026 annual budget approved during the 13th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Olongapo last March 30. All legislative measures were unanimously approved after a thorough deliberation by the Members of the Sanggunian with the barangay officials and staff.
Budget Highlights:
Barangay East Bajac-Bajac (Resolution No. 74), with a budget amounting to PhP 30,941,923.48. Resource persons headed by Punong Barangay Erma Manalang, barangay treasurer and secretary, and Sangguniang Kabataan and barangay officials provided details on barangay resources, including but not limited to real property taxes (PhP 3, 200,000.00), barangay clearances (around PhP 700,000.00), other miscellaneous sources such as court rental and filing fees, and the national tax allotment (PhP 26,000,000.00). On the other hand, the celebration of Kalye Kasiyahan was funded through sponsors as well as revenue from the entrance fees and the stall rentals.
Barangay New Asinan (Resolution No. 75) with a budget of Php 9,440,829.32. Officials of the barangay, headed by Punong Barangay Angelo Gregg Elane, barangay treasurer and secretary, and Sangguniang Kabataan and barangay officials noted that the approved budget will be utilized for the betterment and progress of the barangay.
Barangay Pag-asa (Resolution No. 76) with a budget amounting to PhP 13,415,944.00. Headed by Punong Barangay Rodolfo Catologan, Jr., the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataaan officials and staff reported that an amount of PhP 1,492,000.00 real property tax was received by the barangay from SM Olongapo Downtown.
The punong barangays thanked the Vice Mayor, Members of the Sanggunian including Committee Chairperson on Finance and Appropriations and proponent Councilor Cristabelle Marie C. Paulino, for the approval of the legislative measures, and gave assurance on the proper utilization of the budget for the residents of said barangays.
