Sanggunian Greenlights 2026 Barangay Budget of West Tapinac, Old Cabalan, New Kalalake
The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Olongapo approved the 2026 annual budgets of Barangays West Tapinac, Old Cabalan, and New Kalalake during its 16th Regular Session on April 20, 2026. Through Resolution Numbers 83, 84, and 85, the City Council unanimously declared the budgets of the aforesaid barangays operative in its entirety, following a thorough deliberation with barangay officials.
Budget Highlights:
Barangay West Tapinac (Resolution No. 83) with a budget of P13,564,747.65. PB Donald Aquino, together with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, as well as the barangay treasurer, noted that the funds will be utilized for vital projects that will benefit the residents of Barangay West Tapinac.
Barangay Old Cabalan (Resolution No. 84) with a budget of P35,739,995.70. PB Rolando Alba, Jr. together with the rest of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Officials, highlighted that the allocation includes allotment of P400,000.00 for burial assistance, among other priority infrastructure and welfare programs.
Barangay New Kalalake (Resolution No. 85) with a budget of P17,333,757.78. PB Sherwin Sionzon shared that it will be utilized for the barangay’s continuous programs for its residents.
The legislative measures were authored and sponsored by City Councilor Cristabelle Marie C. Paulino, Chairperson of the Committee on Finance and Appropriations.
The approval of these budgets ensures that the three barangays are fully equipped to implement their respective development plans and deliver primary services to their residents for the upcoming fiscal year.
