SP Expresses Appreciation for Volunteer Review Group
The Members of the Sanggunian, through Resolution No. 132, has expressed appreciation for GURU Learning Group for their commitment to providing free and quality review programs for aspiring professional teachers in the city. The resolution was approved during the 23rd Regular Session last June 8, 2026.
GURU (Goal-Oriented, Unified, Readiness and Uplifting) Learning Group started providing free and quality review programs for aspiring elementary and secondary teachers in 2024. After two (2) years and six (6) batches of reviewees, the group, through its volunteers, continues to help in providing accessible review initiatives and empowering future educators for the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), consistently yielding high ratings of passers.
The resolution was authored and sponsored by City Councilor Yzyra Marie E. Hernandez, and co-sponsored by City Councilor Cristabelle Marie C. Paulino.
