SP OKs Barangay Sta. Rita Budget
The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Olongapo, during its 21st Regular Session on May 25, 2026, has unanimously approved Resolution No. 122 declaring the annual of budget of Barangay Sta. Rita amounting to PhP64,713,025.54 operative in its entirety.
The deliberation was attended by the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials and staff, headed by Punong Barangay Rowena V. Cerezo. During the discussion, the resource persons shared the various projects of the barangay, including the allocation of PhP 900,000.00 for livelihood programs, PhP 7,000,000.00 for the purchase of man-lift equipment, and acquisition of a fire truck. In addition, the barangay has hired barangay health workers and VAW desk officers, who are provided with honoraria and stipend during trainings. The Sangguniang Kabataan, on the other hand, implements the Barangay Employment Program, where they hire 100 students who will render duty for 10 days/80hours and will receive a salary of PhP 5,000.00.
Upon the approval of the resolution, PB Cerezo expressed gratitude for the approval of their budget, and commended the barangay officials for their accomplishments.
City Councilor Cristabelle Marie C. Paulino authored and sponsored the legislative measure, as the Committee Chairperson on Finance and Appropriations.
