The Legislative Term 2025-2028 marks the launching of Talakayan with Sanggunian (TalaSanggunian), which had its kick-off last September 11, 2025 at the Olongapo City Civic Center.

The program aims to hold discussions on legislative-related concerns among the different departments/offices, barangays, and sectoral groups in the city. For its initial session, City Vice Mayor Kaye Ann Legaspi and the Members of the Sanggunian held a meeting with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Library, City Agriculture Office, and City Tourism Office headed by Mr. Jeffrey Lapid, Ms. Sheila Marie Fulton, Mr. Francis Mañago, and Ms. Josefina Legaspi, respectively, to discuss suggestions and recommendations for the crafting of landmark legislations and the enhancement of existing ones.

In relation, a TalaSanggunian session with the various sectors was held on November 6, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center, where groups representing transport, indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, children and youth, senior citizens, health, agriculture and fisheries, women and children, and representatives from the Olongapo City Public Market, James L. Gordon Avenue Market and Mall, and City Social Welfare and Development Office shared insights and recommendations for possible programs and legislations in relation to the sectors they represent.

Focusing on improving its programs and services through legislative outputs to promote transparency and inclusive-participative decision/policy-making processes, the Sanggunian endeavors to continue the conduct of TalaSanggunian and extend it to the communities throughout the legislative term, to aid its formulation of the Legislative Agenda.
